Guest Speaker: Caroline L. Tumpap, CPCS, CPMSM

Caroline Tumpap is the owner and manager of STAR Credentialing LLC.  STAR Credentialing LLC services healthcare facilities throughout Hawaii as a credentials verification organization (CVO) medical staff consulting firm, and payor enrollment agent.  

Caroline has over 20 years of experience as a medical staff management professional.  She has overseen medical staff and credentialing programs at healthcare systems throughout Hawaii. She is certified by the National Association of Medical Staff Professionals as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).  She has also served on the board of directors for the Hawaii Association of Medical Staff Professionals, is a member of NAMSS and is previously chaired of the Hawaii Uniform Credentialing Application task force.

Topic: On Credentialing Standards We Stand, All Other Ground is Sinking Sand   

This session will review current best practice criteria and protocol for credentialing and discuss how to put it into practice.  We will also be sharing practical guidance on how to streamline processes and create efficacy while building relationships beyond the walls of the Medical Staff Services Department.

Participants will receive 1 NAMSS CE Credit.
